Storyteller, Theatre Practitioner and Writer, Marnie has acted, directed, written, produced, taught/lectured and run workshops and training in storytelling, theatre and drama for the past twenty-five years.
Her writing is a mixture of fiction for children and young adults, plays for all ages including adaptations and truncated versions of Shakespeare, screenplays and the practical theory of myth, storytelling, drama and theatre. Marnie is a freelance Associate Director with Prime Theatre, a Writer Producer for Paper Nations and has worked with many theatres including the Royal Shakespeare Company, RADA, the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, and Salisbury Playhouse whilst developing her own work.
She has taught all age groups from having worked in universities, primary and secondary schools, Further Education colleges and more specialist educational establishments.
Myth, history, folk and faerie tales imbue her work. With an understanding of the collective and a desire to facilitate change and work with communities, Marnie is a nurturing, empathetic practitioner and facilitator.
